PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent color irregularity from being generated nearby a sealing seal part. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 9 has a scanning-side substrate 2 and a singnal-side substrate 3 fixed across the seal part 4 containing conductive spacers, and the line width of transparent electrodes 6a and 6b or dummy patterns 11a and 11b is so set that the occupation area ratio Y of the transparent electrode 6a or a dummy pattern 11a at the seal part 4 is nearly equal to the occupation area ratio X of the transparent electrode 6a or a dummy pattern at the seal part 4.
