PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a mounting sequence in a short time, independently of the proficiency of an operator so as to improve a mounting equipment in productivity, wherein the mounting equipment is capable of carrying out an operation through which a part is mounted at a mounting position on a board from a part placing device, which transfers a part from a part feeder at a part feed position or transfers a part to a part feeding position and another operation, through which a part is transferred to the part placing device concurrently. SOLUTION: A mounting sequence determining method comprises a first process S1 where parts are divided into two groups corresponding to the types of part containers which are or ore not capable of directly holding the parts from a part feeder, a second process S2 in which the mounting sequence of the parts which belong to a group where parts can be held direct by the part container from the part feeder, a third process S3 in which the mounting sequence of the parts which belong to a group where parts can be held from the part placing device, and a fourth process S4 in which the group of parts whose mounting sequence is determined in the second process and the other group of parts the mounting sequence of which is determined in the third process are determined in a mounting sequence such that the group of parts of the parts of the second process is mounted first, and the other group of parts of the third process is mounted next. |
