IMAGE RECORDER AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder and a recording method in which high quality recording can be performed by eliminating the difference of image density between going and returning strokes of recording thereby eliminating the effect of satellite. SOLUTION: A density difference correction signal generating means 102B generates a signal 718 for correcting the difference of density between going and returning strokes of recording. The signal 718 is stored in a correction RAM 717 and a specific correction line is selected from an HS conversion table memory 511 depending on the signal 718. Image data 704 at the time of going and returning strokes of recording is subjected to density correction according to the correction line thus selected before an image data 706 is outputted.
