PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing density control method and apparatus capable of widely and finely changing printing density at various printing speeds. SOLUTION: In a printing density control method of screen printing wherein perforated screen printing base paper is wound around the outer peripheral surface of a plate cylinder receiving the supply of ink on its inner peripheral surface and the plate cylinder is rotated and printing paper is brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the stencil paper under pressure to transfer ink to the paper through perforations, the value of D is selected within a range capable of taking the value of the formula D=√(F/f) (wherein F is the pressure contact farce of paper to the plate cylinder and f is the rotational speed of the plate cylinder) to control an increase and decrease in the transfer amt. of ink to the paper.
