PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming buried letters of a push button switch provided with a display part excellent durability without wear, keeping good finger touch for a long duration, and enabled to be manufactured by simplified manufacturing process and to provide a method for manufacturing a cover member for such a push button switch. SOLUTION: A laser ligfht-sensivie color former is produced by coating a pigment particle with an evaporation layer of resin mixed with an electromagnetic wave-absorptive powder, a key top 50 is made of a composition produced by adding the laser light-sensitive color former to thermosetting resin or thermosetting elastomer, and at the same time, a base substance is molded 40 comprising a base part 41 continuous to a thin part 42 made of a silicone rubber composition. After that, the key top 50 is stuck to the surface of the thin part 42 the base substame 40 by an adhesive 51 and then a display part 52 of letters or picture shapes is formed in the inside of the key top 50 by irradiating laser light to the key top 50. |
