PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing a gel capable of producing a granular gel having high quality at a low cost on a large scale and enabling the application to the production of a gel having a high freedom on forming size. SOLUTION: This production apparatus is provided with a forming tank 1 filled with a cooling oil A, a transporting path 5 having a tube-type roller pump 4 for transporting a molten raw gel and a nozzle 6 for dropping the molten raw gel into the cooling oil from the transporting path 5. The forming tank 1 has a heat insulating structure and at the same time has a cooling plate 7 for keeping the cooling oil at a specified temperature, and further water W is filled under the cooling oil. The formed product B which has been solidified into a sphere in the cooling oils taken out together with the water from the bottom of the forming tank 1, and it is separated from the water at a solid-liquid separation section 9 and collected in a product recovery tank 10. The water and contained oil which have been separated at the solid-liquid separation section 9 are returned to the forming tank 1 from a water recovery tank 11 through a water circulation path 12 and an oil circulation path 13. |
