PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a technical task of catheter localization. SOLUTION: The system transmits an information about three dimensional mapping of some part of a human or animal body. The position of the catheter 1 can be determined by the three dimensional mapping. The device for catheter localization consists of catheter 1, plural acoustic transducers 8 and signal processing system. The catheter 1 mounts catheter head 6 that can be transported to the destination through a human or animal body when to be used. The plural acoustic transducers 8 are arranged around the catheter head 6. The signal processing unit operates so as to determine the three dimensional mapping. |
