PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase tip fixing force, to uniformly and quickly perform strong fixing, to increase mechanical strength, and to prevent chatter vibration from being generated, in a cutting tool for pressure-fixing the rear end of a tip to a tip seating part recessed on the tip side surface of a holder by a pressing plate. SOLUTION: A fixing screw 8 is inserted into a through hole 7 provided on a pressing plate 6 and screwed to a threaded hole 10 provided from a tip seating part 4 of the holder 2 to the back surface 9, and the pressing plate 6 is pressed by a large-diameter screw head 11 of the fixing screw 8. Additionally, the rear end surface of the pressing plate 6 and the inclined cut surface of the holder 2 facing the rear end surface are formed into taper shapes, the angle differenceαdeg.=1 deg. to 5 deg. is so provided that they may be brought into contact with each other in their upper parts, and a center axis of the through hole 7 provided on the pressing plate 7 and a center axis of the threaded hole 10 provided on the holder 2 are made eccentric by 0.2 to 0.5 mm.
