PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tin - nickel alloy having sufficient heat resistance and excellent solderabiliity and capable of reducing the cost of parts and also to provide parts to which surface treatment is applied by the use of the alloy. SOLUTION: In a connector 1, a nickel plating layer 11 as an undercoat layer is formed on respective surfaces of a metallic shell 3 and contacts 4, and further, a tin - nickel alloy plating layer 10 as a surface treatment layer is formed on the surface of the nickel plating layer 11. The tin - nickel alloy plating layer 10 is composed of a tin - nickel alloy having a composition ratio consisting of 75-<100 wt.% tin and the balance nickel and has 0.1-<0. 5μm layer thickness. The connector 1 can be soldered on a substrate 5 by means of surface packaging technique. The packaging of the connector 1 on the substrate 5 can be superiorly performed. A remarkable cost reduction can be achieved. |
