PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system with which work can be speedily and smoothly performed when distributing a POS program or a merchandise master and changing the contents. SOLUTION: When distributing a POS program from an operation managing computer 24, POS terminals 1A and 1B transmit version information of the POS program written in their own external storage media to the operation managing computer 24. At the same time, the operation managing computer 24 confirms the version information transmitted from the POS terminals 1A and 1B and when the versions are matched, only a module to be changed in the POS program is transmitted but when the versions are not matched, the entire POS program is transmitted. |
