PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch movement modes automatically by re-adjusting a Doppler sample position to a vessel. SOLUTION: Pressing automatic manual switch button 83 to automate starts B mode automatic on-off processor 61. TAMAX is measured from waves of PWD images and the movement of B mode is made automatically on and off responding to the change of TAMAX in the B mode automatic on-off processor 61. Therefore, a burden of an operator can be reduced by omitting the operation of B-Pause button 82 when a Doppler sample position is re-adjusted to a vessel.
