PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent shock absorbing characteristic. SOLUTION: The interior side of a center pillar 1 provided with a support mechanism 4 of a seat belt 3 is covered with interior material 8 for a vehicle. The interior material 8 is composed of a covering body 7 and a shock absorber 6 movably supported to the covering body 7. The shock absorber 6 moves in accordance with the movement of a moving body 32 of the support mechanism 4. The shock absorber 6 can be arranged in an opposed position to the head of an occupant in conformity to the physical constitution of the occupant.
