PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article which is excellent in clarity and slipperiness and gives a laminate excellent in interlayer adhesion by forming, on the surface of the article, caldera-like elliptic projections having specified major axes and specified heights of circumferences and formed in a density of at least 1 per mm<2> . SOLUTION: This molded article, e.g. a film, of a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer has caldera-like elliptic projections having major axes of 10-150μm and heights of circumferences of 0.1-3μm and formed in a density of at least 1 per mm<2> on the surface. A film having such surface projections is prepd. by adjusting the water content of pellets of a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having an ethylene content of 10-60 mol.% and a degree of saponification of 90 mol.% or higher to 10-60 wt.% (e.g. by mixing the pellets with water under stirring), extruding the pellets with a screw extruder having an L/D ratio of 2.0-4.0 at 40-150 deg.C to form into a film, adjusting the water content of the film to 5-30 wt.%, stretching the film at 30-110 deg.C by 1.5-8 times in the longitudinal direction and then at 60-170 deg.C by 1.5-8 times in the transverse direction, and thermally fixing it at a temp. in the range of from 120 deg.C to a temp. 5 deg.C higher than the m.p. |
