PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the optimum color expression even in a backlight film or the like by altering and controlling the emitting order of a plurality of different color inks corresponding to the kind of a recording medium to be judged. SOLUTION: A carriage is moved to a home position (S401) by the start of recording operation (S400) and it is discriminated whether recording paper is a backlight film (BF) (S402, 403) and, if the recording paper is not backlight film, usual recording operation is performed (S405). In the case of BF, a data reading direction is made reverse to a usual reading direction to output a heat pulse at a time of a return path (S404) to wait the recording data corresponding to one band is written in a memory part (S 406). After the carriage is driven to a return path by recording width after the completion of writing (S407, 408), the carriage is driven to the return path and the output of the heat pulse to a head part is started by the position signal of the carriage (S409) and the recording paper is sent by one band (S410, 411) and, after writing completion, the recording paper is discharged (S413). The generation of color irregularity to BF is suppressed and high image quality recording can be performed with high color reproducibility. |
