PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet which has improved absorbing properties for ink for ink jet and has an improved design in quality and has the high grade like a photographic paper. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording sheet wherein an ink receiving layer is provided on a surface of a supporting material, after the ink receiving layer is provided, a mold pressing roll is pressed against the surface of the ink receiving layer to effect mold pressing. The air permeability of the supporting material is 150 seconds or more according to JIS-P8117 and the density thereof is 1.01 g/cm<3> or the supporting material is composed of a resin coated paper, whereby the absorbing property of ink is improved so that the appearance of the layer can be made clear than that of the mold to provide an improved design. |
