PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial coated electric wire capable of preventing adhesion and propagation of bacteria and fungi even in a wide range of use situation and stably maintaining the electric characteristics such as dielectric strength, insulation resistance, and dielectric constant. SOLUTION: This antibacterial coated electric wire comprises an insulating coat layer of a natural rubber or synthetic rubber synthetic resin material and the insulating coat layer contains 0.1-10 wt.% of an electromagnetic wave radioactive ceramic powder 2A having emissivity 0.8 or higher in relation to emissivity of a black body and electromagnetic wavelength within a near infrared ray range of 2.7-3.2 μm and a far infrared ray range of 5.0-7.4 μm and 10 μm or smaller particle diameter.
