PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of a connector with a cut end portion surely electrically insulated whose conductive fine wires of the connector are twisted and aligned aslant, causing no cut burrs of the conductive fine wire at the end portion, and no short-circuit to parts disposed around the connector. SOLUTION: This manufacture of a pressure contact type connector comprises the steps of setting a middle die 3 having a step portion 4 at an upper portion and an extruding portion 7 at a lower portion corresponding thereto on a lower die for molding 2 forming a U-shaped groove along an upper edge of the U-shaped groove; placing a core material sheet 5 on which conductive fine wires are aligned to the step portion 4 in parallel at a predetermined pitch on an insulating rubber sheet, ramming a core material ramming die 8 into the lower die 2 for molding, setting the core material sheet 5 in the lower die 2 for molding, placing, a cut part 9 made of a sponge silicone rubber material on the core material sheet 5, covering the cut part 9 with an upper die 10 for molding, foaming the cut part 9 by pressing and heating, and after extracting and cutting, the foamed cut part 9 into a predetermined size. |
