PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus which can form an aerobic propagation environment for propagating mold fungi which decompose garbage without adding an accelerator such as enzyme fungi and without discharging offensive odors. SOLUTION: In a garbage treatment apparatus in which garbage is charged into a treatment tank for housing aerobic microorganisms and the culture base material of the microorganisms to be fermentation-decomposed by the microorganisms, peat moss is used as the culture base material 7, and an agitation means 8 for agitating the contents in the treatment tank 2, ventilation means 22, 23, 25 which discharge gas in the tank 2 outside and introduce fresh air into the tank 2 from the outside, and a heat retaining means for keeping the inside of the tank 2 at a temperature suitable for the fermentation treatment of garbage are installed. |
