PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the thickness of an optical element in high accuracy with reduced dispersion. SOLUTION: An optical glass material 6 that is carried by an annular body mold 4 is arranged between the top force 1 and the bottom force 2 and an opening is formed between the upper inner face of the body mold 4 and the outer surface of the top force so that the optical glass material 6 may overflow therefrom. When the optical glass material is molded in a desired thickness by the extrusion pressure of the top and bottom forces and the stopper 3 that stops the bottom force 2 to lift up, the optical glass material overflowing on the opening 16 is pressed by the press 5. The optical glass flows by the press to form the objective optical element having annular projections 42, 44 on the molding faces of the top and bottom forces.
