PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processor capable of maintaining the performance of signal processing even by a configuration that number of memories is decreased. SOLUTION: An echo cancellor 1 consists of an adaptive filter 2 that generates an emulated echo signal EES, a filter coefficient update section 4 that updates part of all tap coefficients, a double talk detector 3, and a subtractor 50 that generates subtracts the pseudo echo signal EES from a near end talker signal Ts to produce a residual echo signal Es. Furthermore, the adaptive filter 2 consists of an input register 10 that stores a remote talker signal Rs in time series, tap coefficient registers A11, B12, an interpolation circuit 13 that updates a tap coefficient that is stored in the tap coefficient register B12 and not updated by the filter coefficient update section 4, and a convolution arithmetic section 14 that uses the time series signal stored in the input register 10, the tap coefficient stored in the tape coefficient registers A11, B12 and the tap coefficient updated by the interpolation circuit 13.
