PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception synchronization circuit circuit and a reception synchronization method that select an optimum threshold level adaptively even when quality of a communication channel is changed. SOLUTION: An error permissible number ε1 to decrease an undetection probability is set higher in the case of locking a signal (11), and a synchronization pattern is detected from all bits (12). After a pattern discriminated to be a synchronization pattern is detected (YES in the step 13), an error permissible number ε2 is set (15). Quality of a communication channel is measured (14) and an optimum error permissible number εx for the channel quality is set by using a threshold level of ε2 (15). Patterns for each frame period at a pattern position detected at locking are compared so as to discriminate whether or not a pattern is a synchronization pattern (16). Even after establishment (17) of reception synchronization, a communication channel is always monitored and the value ε2 equal to the error permissible number εx in response to the channel quality is set. |
