PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mortar composition having moisture-absorbing and releasing property and deodorizing property and excellent in design property by compounding cement with lightweight aggregate, a synthetic resin emulsion, microsphere and fine fiber in specific amounts. SOLUTION: This mortar composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. cement such as portland cement with 3-10 pts.wt. lightweight aggregate such as inorganic microballoon having 5-200μm particle diameter and about 0.7 specific gravity, 3-10 pts.wt. synthetic resin emulsion such as ethylene-modified vinyl acetate copolymer, 1-5 pts.wt. microsphere and 1-5 pts.wt. fine fiber having about 6 mm fiber length. This decorative finishing agent having 0.7-0.9 specific gravity is prepared by adding seed stone such as granite, marble or serpentine having 0.3-30 mm particle size in a volume ratio of 1/(0.5-2.0) to the mortar composition as a matrix. The microsphere is an organic microballoon of vinylidene chloride, etc., having 10-100μm particle diameter and <=0.04 specific gravity and used in combination with inorganic microballoon. |
