摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and small-sized high speed printer of a high grade performing the optimum supply of ink by detecting the temp. of the ink corresponding to the viscosity thereof and altering the drive time of a pump corresponding to the temp. of the ink. SOLUTION: The drive voltage setting circuit of a motor sets the drive voltage of a pump motor 602 on the basis of the peripheral temp. of a sub-tank 204 detected by a temp. sensor 614 and alters a drive speed corresponding to a change in the drive voltage. When temp. is low, that is, the load applied to a pump is large by an increase in the viscosity of ink, the pump motor 602 is driven by high voltage and, when temp. is high, that is, the load applied to the pump is small by a decrease in the viscosity of the ink, the pump motor 602 is driven by low voltage. The change of the flow rate of the ink flowing through the pump caused by the influence of temp. can be suppressed and the inferiority of the recovery operation of a printing head or ink leakage are eliminated and a small-sized high speed printer of a high grade is obtained.
