PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject formed product, antimicrobial and useful for various members of food and food container production lines by including nylon and an inorganic antimicrobial agent. SOLUTION: This formed product is obtained by including (A) an inorganic antimicrobial agent, having an average particle size of 0.5 to 10μm, preferably 1 to 5μm, and intrinsic specific density of 4.0 or less, preferably 2.0 to 4.0, at 0.2 to 10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of nylon, preferably 0.5 to 5 pts.wt. and (B) nylon. The component A is an antimicrobial metallic ion species, e.g. silver, copper, tin or zinc, supported by, e.g. zeolite, glass, phosphate or zirconium phosphate. It is produced by polymerization of lactam monomer (e.g. 2- pyrrolidone orε-caprolactam) in a casting mold in the presence of a catalyst (e.g. alkali metal, hydroxide or oxide) and promoter (e.g. isocyanate, urea derivative or acyllactam).
