PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus with which ink blur is reduced to the utmost, excellent in water resistance and the preservability of paper after printing. SOLUTION: Before liquid droplets 2 ejected corresponding to image data arrive at an intermediate transfer material 3, a powder 8 capable of showing solubility or swellability to the liquid droplets 2 and raising the viscosity of the liquid droplets 2 is preformed on the intermediate transfer material 3. When the liquid droplets 2 ejected corresponding to the image data arrive at the intermediate transfer material 3 by a liquid ejector 1, the powder 8 is immediately dissolved or swollen by the liquid droplets 2 and the viscosity of the liquid droplets is raised suddenly. The liquid droplets 6 increased in viscosity by the powder 8 are carried to a transfer part by the intermediate transfer material 3 to be transferred to recording paper 4. Since the viscosity of the liquid droplets 6 is already increased and the liquid droplets 6 become hard to penetrate into the recording paper 4, the diffusion of the liquid droplets into the fibers of the recording paper 4 is prevented and an image 7 reduced in blur can be formed on the recording paper 4. |
