摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a manganese-rich and zinc-rich material from waste batteries, separately recover manganese dioxide from a manganese compound and zinc chloride from metallic zinc and a zinc compound at a low cost. SOLUTION: A manganese-rich and zinc-rich material is taken out of waste manganese batteries and alkaline manganese batteries as a raw material. The raw material is washed, small pieces of zinc can are added to the raw material, they are dissolved in hydrochloric acid, impurity components are removed by cleaning, oxidizing reaction is conducted by perchloric acid, a mixture of manganese dioxide and zinc chloride is obtained, the mixture is dissolved in water, and then filtered to separate and recover water-insoluble manganese dioxide and water-soluble zinc chloride. Impurities in the manganese dioxide are removed by cleaning, zinc chloride solution is concentrated and solidified, then dissolved in an organic solvent, impurities are removed through filtration or centrifugal separation, then the organic solvent is removed by evaporation to obtain purified zinc chloride.</p>
