FLY ASH TREATMENT IN WASTE TREATMENT INSTALLATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating fly ashes by which dioxin contained in fly ash generated from a waste treatment installation is surely removed without necessitating external energy. SOLUTION: Fly ash generated in the waste treatment installation is introduced into a dioxin decomposition furnace 4 and brought into contact with unburned gas generated in either the thermal cracking part or the suppressed combustion part of the waste treatment installation and heated at the temperature not lower than (250-400) deg.C in the inhibitory atmosphere to decompose dioxin. Thereafter, fly ash is quenched so as not to resynthesize dioxin and then taken out. When the temperature is insufficient, unburned gas is burned.
