PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper-like material of polytetrafluoroethylene with high dimensional stability by enabling displaying of characteristics peculiar to polytetrafluoroethylene even when formed into a paper-like shape. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a composite paper-like material of polytetrafluoroethylene relates to the composite paper-like material of polytetrafluoroethylene with a polytetrafluoroethylene paper-like material layer 2 formed on one or both faces of a glass, plate and is to form the polytetrafluoroethylene paper-like material layer 2 by dispersing polytetrafluoroethylene particles in a matrix and processing fibers subjected to emulsion spinning into a sheet by a wet paper-making process, and thermally treat at a temperature of at least melting point of this polytetrafluoroethylene and a temperature at which the matrix is carbonized and decomposed. |
