<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load when counting the number of packets and to detect in real time that a threshold is exceeded. SOLUTION: At each Ethernet interface part 40, a packet is outputted after count information is contained in an intra-device header provided in the head, and at an ATM interface 20, when outputting that packet to an ATM line 101f, the number of packets is counted for each destination IP address while using that count information. When a count value exceeds a threshold, it is reported to a switching control part 13 to change a transmission interface to be selected. Thus, the number of packets for each destination IP address received at plural Ethernet interfaces can be counted while being centralized at the ATM interface part 20 on the side transmission.</p> |
