The chemical compound (s)-2-(6-methoxynaphtyl)propionate of tris(hydroxymethyl)methylamonium, called TROMETOXAN of the present invention and which has the chemical structure of formula (I) is the result of a neutralization reaction between (s)-2-(6-methoxynaphtyl)-propionic acid and tris(hydroxymethyl)methyl amine. Said compound has improved analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory properties in chronical rheumatoid arthritis. Amongst possible applications, it can be used in the pharmaceutic industry and its use in the medical field, said fields requiring substances with efficient therapeutical properties to improve or alleviate diseases related to pain and inflammatory troubles in general. TROMETOXAN is a highly efficient compound in comparison with the anti-inflammatory and anti-pyretic activity of the chemical compound called Naproxen, according to an experimental study carried out on rodents and has minor toxicity and reduced ulcerogenic activity with respect to sodic naproxen. |
