The invention relates to a monodirectional data bus having a transmit stage and a receive stage comprising at least one signal line between the transmit stage and the receive stage, wherein at least one of the incorporated signal lines in the receive stage is provided with means for total or partial short-circuit of the signal line, and the transmit stage of the signal line or lines is provided with means for detecting a total or partial short-circuit of the signal line. The invention enables two-way communication on a monodirectional signal line. The invention is particularly advantageous in connection with transmission between a line card and an ATM switch. |
