FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has cartridge containing product to be injected and injector attached to cartridge. Injector includes drive mechanism which has dosing bushing provided with dosing head at its end being the nearest one to attachment place and rod with thread. Rod is coupled to bushing. It is capable of moving in axial direction into cartridge when head is rotated clockwise for setting the limb to required dose to be injected. Injector housing accommodates ratchet gear which includes rotary part secured to dosing bushing for rotation with the latter and locking seat engaged with rotary part. Ratchet gear rotates bushing clockwise only. Release mechanism is secured to housing of liquid-crystal display. It includes pin which passes into rotary part of ratchet gear and engages this part so that axial displacement of pin causes axial movement of stationary part.
