FIELD: construction machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: pile driver is intended for use in erection of pile foundations in bridge building, civil engineering and particularly in express erection of temporary bridges. Pile driver is characterized by improved design of steering arrangement in transport position, improved drive of pneumatic tyre wheels, suspension of pneumatic tyre wheels, and prolonged service life. Aforesaid advantages are achieved because pile driver has platform with pivotally attached cantilever-type beams. Secured on ends of cantilever-type beams are pneumatic tyre wheels. Also provided is double-section guide mast which is made up of upper section and lower section. Upper section of mast is installed for possible turning relative to lower section of mast due to hinge connection. Guide mast is provided with mechanism for bringing it from transport position to working position and back. Mechanism is made up of double-arm lever which is installed coaxially with hinge. Mechanism also has hydraulic cylinders with their cases pivotally installed on upper section of mast and lower section of mast respectively. Rods of cylinders are connected to ends of arms of double-arm lever. Drive of pneumatic tyre wheels is represented by high-torque hydraulic motor. Improved design of rear pneumatic wheel suspension is as follows: each of rear pneumatic tyre wheels is pivotally attached to end of respective cantilever-type beam by means of hinge and also by means of compression spring which is installed horizontally with outward thrust. Steering arrangement for transport position is provided with hydraulic cylinder having its rods pivotally attached to adapter unit with possible disconnected from adapter unit. Case of hydraulic cylinder is pivotally fastened to pintle which is rigidly secured to lower surface of pile drive platform. Pile driver reveals improved mobility and maneuverability.
