SUBSTANCE: method which uses lithium and manganese compounds comprises mixing, thermal treatment and cooling. Mixture of original compounds is subjected to mechanical activation at specific power of 10-50 W/g for 0.05-0.5 jour at Li to Mg original reagent molar ratio of 0.95:2-1.5:2 and gas pressure in apparatus of less than MPa. Activated mixture is subjected to thermal treatment at 300-600 C for 0-40 hours and mechanical activation process is carried out in gas, e.g. air or inert gas.
