PRODUCTION OF OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium with which the deterioration of org. dyestuffs is prevented and which is improved in durability and is high in reliability and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: A recording layer 3 essentially consisting of the org. dyestuffs and a reflection layer 4 consisting of a metal selected from Cu, Ag and Au or an alloy contg. at least one kind of these metals are formed in this order on a substrate 2. A UV curing material of >=200 weight ppm in org. acid content is laminated on this reflection layer 4 and is then cured to form a protective layer 5, by which an optical disk 1 is obtd. The dyestuffs are adequately cyanine dyestuffs. Cu and Ag or the alloy contg. at least one kind of these metals is adequate as the reflection layer.
