<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a half-split protective pipe in a condition clamped from top and bottom, by forming a cable conveyance route for sequentially supporting the cable delivered from a cable feeder and passing it through, and lowering free rollers with an elevating lifter. SOLUTION: Two free rollers 5 (placed and mounted on an elevating lifter 6), which serve as a supporter for supporting other points of a cable 2 in the lengthwise direction, are arranged side by side on a conveyance route ranging from crawler wheels 3 to a stern chuter 4. The free roller 5 with a number of rollers disposed in parallel passes the cable 2 delivered from crawler wheels 3 by sequentially supporting it, and leads to the stern chuter 4. First, the free roller 5 is lowered by the elevating lifter 6. The cable 2 delivered from the crawler loop 3 is supported by the rollers of the stern chuter 4, and is kept in a floating condition above the free roller 5. A worker clamps a half-split protective pipe 10 in the cable 2 from the top and bottom, and covers it. It is thus possible to install the half-split protective pipe efficiently.</p> |
