PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably control a device temperature without being affected by the fault of a power supply system to a temperature control part or the like and to improve the reliability of an operation. SOLUTION: In the disk array device of constitution capable of mounting HDD modules 14-19 and a basic power unit 101 and an optional power unit 102 for extension respectively provided with a power source 22 and a fan 26 through a relay substrate 20, the respective fans 26 of the basic power unit 101 and the optional power unit 102 for the extension are parallelly connected mutually to the power source 22 of the other power unit through a dedicated connector 31, a connector 32 and a wiring pattern inside the relay substrate 20. In this case, even when one power unit fails, the two fans 26 of both power units are operated and the flow rate of an air stream 29 for cooling ventilation is secured. Also, a dummy power unit provided with only the fan 26 can be mounted instead of the optional power unit 102.
