PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electrophotographic photoreceptor high in sensitivity characteristics in a long wavelength region suitable for a light printer and small in potential fluctuation at the time of repeated uses. SOLUTION: Relating to this photoreceptor with a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate, the photosensitive layer contains a bisazo pigment having intense peaks at Bragg angle (2θ±0.2 deg.) of 5.2 deg. and 26.8 deg. in the X-ray- diffraction using Cu-Kαline and its half value width of 0.63 and 0.94 deg..
