摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution and a method to execute a single (electrophotographic or the other) image formation or both-side printing with a printing unit on a successive web. SOLUTION: An image whose boundary is continuously directly brought into contact with a web 12 by avoiding the scrap of paper is formed by using a single electrophotographic printing unit (to normally print on a conventional cut-sheet printing base material) having a ring-like electrophotographic belt having a belt joint. An integrated type web printing system 10 is formed by connecting a one-side or both-side successive web printing base material supply module 70 to a cut-sheet unit. A successive web printing base material 12 is appropriately supplied to the printing unit, and the image is transferred on one side or both sides of a web from the image forming surface 16 of the printing unit. A freely flexible web loop is arranged between two transfer stations 72a and 72b which are alternately operated, and both-side printing is alternately executed while interrupting the supply of the web. Coordination with operation to skip and correct a belt joint area is executed, so that the generation of a white- paper area is prevented.
