PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element having satisfactory stability and durability by holding at least one layer containing at least one kind of compound having a specific structure between a pair of electrodes. SOLUTION: The compound used has a structure expressed by the formula, wherein each of Ar1 to Ar7 represents an aryl group, Ar1 and Ar2 , Ar3 and Ar4 , Ar5 and Ar6 may form a heterocycle containing nitrogen together with N combined, each of R1 and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, straight-chained, branched or ringlike alkyl group, aryl group or aralkyl group, and each of Z1 and Z2 represents a hydrogen atom, halogen, straight-chained, branched or ringlike alkyl group, straight-chained, branched or ringlike alkoxy group or aryl group. Preferably, a layer containing the compound expressed by the equation is a positive hole pouring transportation layer and/or a light emitting layer.
