PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the date of a system clock being used when preventing data from being unjustly utilized out of a period. SOLUTION: An image composting and printing device presents to the user a plurality of decoration pattern data being selected by interactive processing with a user, allows the user to select either of them, displays an image on a display 12 obtained by confining the selected decoration pattern data with an image being shot by a video camera 10, and instructs the timing for printing the display image using a video printer 11. The decoration pattern data are accompanied by specific utilization period data, and only decoration pattern data within the tolerance of the utilization period are presented to the user according to date data from an own system clock based on utilization period data. When the data of the system clock is adjusted, the input of a data code for each encoded device ID is received, interpreted, and decoded, the device ID is compared with the device ID of a fixed setting, and the data is changed according to a decoding data code only when the device ID agrees with that of the fixed setting. |
