PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide barrier material for plasma display panel by which a fine and highly accurate barrier having chemical resistance, external force resistance and high adhesion to a base board can be easily formed with a good yield, a manufacturing method for the barrier and a high quality base board. SOLUTION: A pattern comprising inorganic material, resin binder and barrier forming material for plasma display panel containing silane coupling agent expressed by formula is formed and baked on a base board. In the formula, R<1> indicates a hydrogen atom or a 1-2C alkyl group and it is acceptable if nine R<1> s are the same or different, and R<2> indicates a 1-6C alkylene group and it is acceptable if three R<2> s are the same or different. |
