PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust a schedule when an electronic mail, in which an event plan overlapping with a registered schedule is recorded, is received. SOLUTION: When an electronic mail device 21A receives an electronic mail for a schedule register from an electronic mail server 11A, a schedule already registered in an RAM 61 is first confirmed and, when there is an empty time band of an event, that event is registered. If the time band of the event overlaps with the registered schedule, another time band which is on the same day of the event and is empty is notified and, at the same time, an electronic mail for inquiring if the time band of the event can be changed to this empty time band is transmitted to a transmitter of the schedule register mail. Afterward, if, in response to this mail, a response electronic mail is received to the effect that the time band of the event is changed as requested, the changed event plan is registered in the RAM 61.
