PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable communication without opening a casing at the time of call incoming. SOLUTION: Folding type portable communication equipment 1 is composed of an upper casing 2 and a lower casing 3, and the upper and lower casings 2 and 3 are mutually linked so as to be folded by a hinge part 4. The upper casing 2 is provided with a reception part and an information display part on the inside and its side part is equipped with a scroll operating part 7 for controlling the scroll of display contents on the information display part. Besides, the lower casing 3 is provided with a key operating part and a transmission part on the inside. Then, the upper casing 2 is provided with a reception part 10 and a transmission part 11 on the back. With the portable communication equipment 1 folded, the scroll operating part 7 functions as an off-hook operating part and an on-hook operating part. When an incoming call is received with the portable communication equipment 1 folded, a user responds to the telephone call by performing the off-hook operation while pushing the scroll operating part 7 without opening the portable communication equipment 1 and performs communication through the reception part 10 and the transmission part 11. |
