PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device and a bruhless fan motor, which is capable of detecting rotation state of a brushless motor before the start and select a proper starting method, even with a sensorless driving method. SOLUTION: When a brushless motor 8 is rotated by an external force such as the force of wind, etc., applied to a fan, revolutions SS of the brushless motor 8 is detected based on the polarity changes of currents which are applied to respective windings 8u, 8v and 8w through the action of a current application signal generating unit 10 based on the voltages induced in the windings 8u, 8v and 8w. If the revolutions SS exceed a reference number of revolution, a starting method determination unit 9a leaves the start of the brushless motor 8 at that time over, but if the revolution SS is smaller than the reference revolution, the starting method determination unit 9a starts the operation of the brushless motor 8. |
