PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data receiver that is provided with a message display function, where importance of a message and the intention of a sender or the like are displayed by allowing a sender to have only to send the same designation code for some times and to provide the data reception system. SOLUTION: A routine message code and a fixed part of the routine message are stored in cross reference in a routine (fixed) message memory SM of a routine message ROM, a number of times of reception of a same routine message code by a same sender code and a modified part of the routine message are stored in cross reference in a modified message memory VM of the routine message ROM. When the routine message code is received, a message of the fixed part of the routine message from the routine message memory SM and the modified part of the routine message from the modified message memory VM are respectively retrieved based on the received routine message code and number of times of counted calls, and the fixed part and the modified part of the routine message retrieved respectively are displayed on a display section.
