PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with collection of a charge not only in Japanese but in foreign languages to smoothly collect the charge from a passing vehicle at a toll road in accordance with recent increase of alien drivers. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle machine 5 is provided with a function to permit selection of a desired language among plural prepared languages by a driver and capable of transmitting a signal regarding the selected language, a display at the side of a toll gate is executed in the language selected by the driver by transmitting the signal regarding the language selected by the driver from the on-vehicle machine 5 to the side of the toll gate 1 and when no language is selected among the languages prepared to be selected by the on-vehicle machine 5, the display is automatically executed in Japanese. In addition, a vehicle detector 65 is provided at a specified position in front of the running direction of the vehicle from a communication area 10 in which communication is performed between the on-vehicle machine 5 and the toll gate 1 and if the vehicle to mount the on-vehicle machine 5 to transfer information between it and the toll gate is detected by the detector, the display corresponding to the concerned vehicle is erased. |
