PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately utilize a data processing system by preventing the destruction of data stored by a portable terminal equipment for constituting the data processing system together with a copying machine. SOLUTION: When a power saving mode start timer T2 times up (s18), the portable terminal equipment transmits the effect that a power saving mode is to be executed to the copying machine (s20). The copying machine which receives the effect that the power saving mode is to be executed transmits the effect that the power saving mode is to be canceled to the portable terminal equipment (s21). When the power saving mode start timer T3 times up (s19), the copying machine transmits the effect that the power saving mode is to be executed to the portable terminal equipment (s22). A CPU which receives the data of the effect that the power saving mode is to be executed executes the power saving mode (s23). In the state of mounting the portable terminal equipment to the copying machine, the copying machine and the portable terminal equipment simultaneously execute the power saving mode including the saving processing of the data. |
