PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of a user by eliminating complicated operations in the case of linking the processings of mails and of schedule management and to allow flexible changes in a schedule. SOLUTION: When a schedule mail of a conference participation notice is received, a CPU 1 discriminates whether the date and time to hold a conference falls on a schedule with the same time zone already registered in the schedule area of a RAM 3. When they are coincident, the received schedule mail is temporarily stored and registered in the temporary register area of the RAM 3. When the schedule data in the schedule area are changed and the schedule data coincident with the temporarily registered schedule mail is made free as a result, the schedule data of that temporarily registered schedule mail is transferred to the schedule area and registered.
