PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly stir developer in a container, to form an excellent image and to make reliability excellent by providing a device with a housing part housing the developer and a stirring member stirring the developer housed in the housing part and providing the stirring member with an attraction means attracting the developer. SOLUTION: The tip of a stirring bar 17 is provided with an electromagnet M being as the attraction means. By stirring magnetic toner 6 by using the bar 17, electric charge whose polarity is reverse to the electric charge of an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor drum 1 with respect to developing reference potential is given to magnetic toner grains. Then, the toner 6 is extremely thinly applied to a developing sleeve 5 by a magnetic blade 15 and carried by the sleeve 5. Besides, the toner 6 is fed to a developing area D formed by the drum 1 and the sleeve 5. In the area D, the carried toner 6 is made to fly by the action of a magnetic field by a magnet 16 fixed in the sleeve 5 so as to develop the electrostatic latent image formed on the drum 1. |
